The mission of CMHA Swan Valley Branch is to support people with mental illness and promote recovery for the mental health of all citizens of the Parkland and The Pas Region, with emphasis on community awareness, support services, housing supports and services, and internal/external partnerships.
The Canadian Mental Health Association, a nation-wide, voluntary, non profit organization, promotes the mental health of all and support the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness. CMHA accomplishes this through advocacy, education, research and service.
The Parkland and The Pas Region of Manitoba provides programs designed to improve the quality of life, provide personal/emotional support and ensure the protection of rights of those who live with a mental illness.
Programs and services we offer are the Portable Housing Benefit rent subsidy, Housing Supports through our four ECHO Housing Complexes, Peer Support and Self-Help, mental health and recovery based education through our HOPE (Helping Others through Peer Education) Learning Center, Living Life To The Full and Anger Management Programming, and a library with books for lending purposes on a variety of mental health and illness topics/subject areas.
