We are an at-risk high school for students who have been expelled from Milwaukee public schools for behavioral issues. 99% of our students come from homes living at or below the poverty line, 80% of which are single parent households, and many of the rest are in non-parent situations like relatives or group homes, and many of our kids can’t afford basic hygiene supplies. This affects their attendance in coming to school out of embarrassment, it affects how other students treat them at school, and therefore it affects their actual education. We cant afford to provide these supplies to every kid that needs them, but are asking for donations to be able to freely hand them out to those in need. I can reassure you that we are a direct line to getting your supplies into the hands of the impoverished, and it would greatly impact their lives.
